Gwynneth Fielding (née Coleman), 89, a longtime Montclair resident, died on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in University Hospital, Newark.

A small reception honoring her memory will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m., by Diana Benson and Carolyn O'Connor, at Apartment 3N, Hawthorne Towers, 36 Hawthorne Place, Montclair.
Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Ms. Fielding had lived in London, England, Boston, and in Hawthorne Towers, Montclair. She worked for a New York City social agency from 1972 until the late 1990s. Her work included traveling extensively, which she enjoyed, to arrange and manage business conferences.
Ms. Fielding was known for her taste in clothing, and love of the arts and classical music.
She often played difficult Chopin selections on her antique Pleyel piano.
Ms. Fielding was predeceased by her siblings, Joan Baker and Eric Coleman.
She is survived by her niece, Diana; and Carolyn, Dorothy, David, Zara, Alexia and Nate.
