Maurice, 90 Formerly of Fort Lee, passed away November 30, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. Born July 2, 1922, to Maurice and Margaret-Jane (Brogan) Sullivan in Glasgow, Scotland, the oldest of four children. Maurice met his bride, Georgina (Jean) Duncan when they were teenagers and they married in 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1963 Maurice and family came to America, settling in Union City. He worked for Mockler Overhead Doors before taking a position as caretaker at Oratory School, Summit, NJ, until his retirement in 1987. Maurice loved being around the students at Oratory, coaching soccer, playing golf at the local course in Summit and singing at the Scots and Irish clubs in Kearny, NJ. Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Georgina (Jean) Sullivan; along with two children; Barbara and Carl Bitetto of Jacksonville, FL; Maurice and Arlene Sullivan of West Orange, NJ; four grandchildren, Maurice Sullivan and his wife Christine, Christina Chastain, Katelyn Bitetto and Kimberly Bitetto; one great-granddaughter Maria Sullivan; his sister Sarah McCauley; brother Thomas Sullivan and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives. The family will receive their friends on Tuesday, 10 AM - 12 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library".
