CARTER
Lloyd Jr., age 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ. Born in Passaic, NJ he lived in Paterson, NJ for most of his life and attended school in Paterson, NJ. He joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged after serving in the Korean War. Over the years Lloyd was employed by The Progressive Life Insurance Company, the U.S. Rubber Company, the City of Paterson Recreation, O.I.C. and many of the Carter Family Enterprises. Lloyd faithfully attended the Paterson Senior Program at the Y.W.C.A. until his health began to fail. He was a former member of The St. Paul Baptist Church in Passaic, NJ; where he served as Chairman of the Trustee Board. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Bertha Carter, one brother: Dr. James A. Carter, one son: Lloyd Hal Carter, one nephew: Henry Mc Murray Jr. and one niece: Karen L. Wall. He is survived by three children Rhonda Carter, Gary Carter and Antoine Wilson, one brother: Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, four sisters: Lillian Walls, Beverly Mc Murray, Rosalie Ferguson and Rev. Doris Carter, one sister-in-law: Delores Carter, one daughter-in-law: Deloris Carter, fifteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, 11 AM at The Canaan Baptist Church 535 Rev. Dr. Gadson L. Graham Way (East 22nd St.), Paterson, NJ. Viewing will be held from 9-11 AM at the church. Interment: to follow at The Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by: The Carnie P.
