Helen (nee Kilcooley), of River Vale, NJ and formerly New York City, died peacefully at home on Thursday February 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with breast cancer. A devoted wife to Len, mother and friend to Jerome (Jay) and Christopher (Chris), loving grandmother to Kaitlyn and John-Jay, and beloved sister to Theresa Brazee (Norman), Mary Delario, Patrick Kilcooley (Helen), John KIlcooley, Eileen Daley (Joseph), Steven Kilcooley (Bridget).Helen was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her professional life was dedicated to providing for at-risk children. She served on the NJ Governor's Cancer Care Commission. Helen served on many boards where she raised substantial funding for cancer. NO FLOWERS PLEASE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Helen Sawaya Fund, St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center, c/o Dr. Gabriel Sara, 1000 10th Avenue, NY, NY 10019.
