DITTLOFF
Robert C., 88, of Pompton Plains died Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Born in Paterson, he resided in Clifton before moving to Pompton Plains 24 years ago. A 1942 graduate of Montclair Kimberly Academy, Bob owned and operated RCD Motor Frate in Wayne for 40 years prior to his retirement. He is a US Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII who served in the Pacific. Bob is a member of John H. Lokhoff American Legion Post #242 in Pompton Plains. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl (Hooyman) by a son, Matthew Hooyman and wife, Bonnie of Pompton Lakes, by two daughters, Heidi Dittloff of Lebanon, NJ and Melisa Lang of Wichita, KS and by five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton, NJ 07012 followed by burial at the First Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial donations to VNA Hospice, 175 South St. Morristown, NJ will be appreciated. www.allwoodfuneralhome.com
