PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Albert M. Andersen, 93, of Fairfield, who died on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was a former resident of the Pompton Plains section of this community.

Mr. Andersen lived in West Orange for many years and in Pompton Plains before moving to Fairfield. He worked for Chesebrough-Ponds Cosmetics, now Unilever, beginning his career there at the age of 18 as an office boy and serving as a controller among other positions before retiring as assistant to the president. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Pleasantdale Presbyterian Church, West Orange, as well.

Services were Saturday at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, followed by interment at Pleasantdale Cemetery, West Orange.

Mr. Andersen is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Roland; his children, Karen Timmons, Robert Andersen, and Jill Geiger; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
