William A., 87, a proud and life-long resident of Wood-Ridge, passed away on August 22, 2013. Mr. Gramlich served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga during WWII. For 38 years, he worked for Becton Dickinson in East Rutherford and retired in 1984 as the Quality Assurance Supervisor. For many years, Bill worked as the afternoon doorman at Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt. He enjoyed engaging in conversation regarding his Wood-Ridge heritage and his B-D acquaintances. He was a member of the B-D Alumni Association and the B-D Foreman's Club. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee Glock) Gramlich. Loving father of Bill Gramlich and his wife Anna, Barry Gramlich and his wife Vicky and Barbara Hourigan and her husband Pat. Cherished grandfather of Megan-Ann, Willy, Chelsea, Jack, Troy, Jayden and Avery. Dear brother of Rae Schroeder and the late Alfred Gramlich. Funeral service will be private.
