Mary "Nanny" (nee Silletti), 103, a resident of Washington Township, formerly resided at Boiling Springs Senior Residence in East Rutherford. Mary was called home to heaven November 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She lived an amazing life, which took her many places. She was born in NYC but lived in Italy, Massachusetts, NJ., California, Arizona and spent her final years in Washington Township with her daughter Ann Marie. She was a seamstress in the garment center in NYC for many years and was a member of the International Garment Workers Union. Cooking to her was the highest form of art and her favorite way to express her love for her family and friends. To anyone who ever tasted her food she was one of the greatest chefs on earth. She was always well informed and enjoyed keeping up with the world around her. Her life spanned from horse & carriage through the great depression and be able to see a man land on the moon. Beloved wife of the late John Fazio. Loving mother of Ann Marie Dunne, Patrick Fazio and his wife Tara and Michael Angelo Fazio and his wife Mary and mother-in-law of the late Donald Dunne. Cherished grandmother of Pastor Michael Dunne, Andrea Anastasio, Lisa Hakimian, Patrice Taylor, Denise Segura, John Louis Fazio, April Fazio, Mark Fazio, Adriana Fazio, Patrick Fazio and the late Donna Marie Dunne. Also survived by numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Dear sister of the late Vito Silletti, Oronzo Silletti and Laura Silletti. Caring aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10 AM and from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Sunday 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Inn, Juniper Friary, 1802 East Hagert St., Philadelphia, PA 19125.
