HEDDY
Richard J., age 71, of Oakland passed away at his home on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Born in Hackensack, Richard grew up in Waldwick before moving to Oakland in 1974. Richard was the Grounds Keeper for the Midland Park School System. He was an active member of the New Jersey Doo Wop and Street Corner Harmony Association, as well as the Tri-County Cruisers. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marie A. (Patacco) Heddy of Oakland, his daughters, Doreen Raymond of West Milford and Susan Borgognone of Hawthorne. His grandchildren, Nina Marie and Gianna Angela, and his brother, Ronald Heddy of West Milford. "Yesterday we lost the most amazing man, husband, father, grandfather and friend. A big piece of our hearts will be broken forever; there is now another angel in heaven watching over us."
