BRINSTER
Wayne L., Sr, 84, of West Milford, passed away peacefully at his home in West Milford on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
He was born on September 26, 1929 in Union City, NJ to Ethel (nee Anonie) and Louis Brinster.
Wayne married Patricia (nee York) and together they raised their family in Ridgefield Park, NJ
Wayne proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War while stationed in Germany.
He moved to Ridgefield Park in 1954 where he made many friends over the years while he owned and operated "Euclid Sweet Shop" (Wayne's) for forty-four years.
Wayne enjoyed working with carpentry and spending time with his family over his limited free time.
Wayne was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia in 2013.
Wayne is survived by his loving children Wayne Brinster and his wife Patricia of West Milford, Michael Brinster of Wantage, NJ, Janice Brinster of West Milford, Richard Brinster and his wife Meg of Hamburg, NJ, Scott Brinster and his wife Ann of West Milford, and Joanne Blanchfield and her husband Jerry of West Milford; and his cherished grandchildren Steven Brinster and his wife Lesli, Karen Brinster, Christine Modica, Michael Brinster, Kevin Modica, Scott Brinster, Kyle Blanchfield, Eric Brinster, Colin Brinster, Madison Brinster, and Sean Brinster.
Wayne also leaves behind his adored great grandchildren Leighton and Lydia Brinster, and his brother Robert Brinster of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a prayer service at 3:30 PM during the last half hour of the afternoon visitation at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place).
Final disposition will be private.
