GIANNINO
Marisa (nee Sandri), 84, of Middletown, NY entered into rest peacefully at home on April 17, 2014.
She was born in Italy on May 6, 1929 and met the love of her life, Matt Giannino, while he served in the US Army in Italy during World War II.
She came to the United States as a young bride to begin their life together. She was predeceased by her loving husband Matt, her son John, her daughter-in-law Sharon, her sister-in-law Barbara and her great granddaughter Alaina Maine.
Marisa is survived by her son Matthew, her daughter Laura, her grandchildren Kenne Maine, Jessica, Johnathan and Justin Giannino and her great-grandchildren, Gianni, Anthony and Nico Maine. She is also survived by her husband's sister Angela and husband Pete and her nieces and nephews, Mary Ellen, Peter, Paul and Barbara. She is also survived by her family in Italy, her sisters Victoria, Anna Maria, Pierra and Silvana and her brother Roberto. When she first came to the United States she was a seamstress and when her children came along she became the best mother in the world. Taking care of her family was her passion. Her cooking was outstanding and everyone was always welcome in her kitchen. As her children grew she joined her husband in his construction business and artfully stained all of the woodworking in his custom built homes. She always had a smile on her face and loved life. Marisa was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all.
