Marvin Fine Obituary
Marvin, 80, of Verona, NJ passed away on October 12, 2015. A beloved husband of 58 years to Marilee (Simon). Devoted father to Melissa (Glenn) and Douglas (Sandra). He was a loving and entertaining grandfather to Alexander, Jonathan, Darilyn and Derek. Mr. Fine was a graduate of The Juilliard School and Columbia University. He taught instrumental music in the NJ public schools for 37 years. As a trumpeter, he enjoyed a freelance career performing with big bands, concert bands, and The Colonial Symphony. Funeral services were privately held. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation. Arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel Clifton, NJ.

Mr. Fine was a warm, supportive, inspiring, funny, and nurturing music teacher who was beloved by his students. He was one of the most wonderful teachers I ever had. I didn't realize what an esteemed education background he possessed until I read his obituary! He obviously loved working with children: his talents could have taken him anywhere.
