Charles Hintzen

HINTZEN
Charles Joseph, III, 94 years old, of Franklin, NJ, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Born to Charles J. Hintzen, Jr. and Stephanie Hintzen in Paterson, NJ where he was raised and lived before moving to Franklin, NJ 31 years ago.
Charles served with the United States Navy during WWII and then worked as a maintenance mechanic for Sandoz Chemical in Fair Lawn, NJ for many years retiring in 1985. He enjoyed carpentry, boating and fishing and was a doting grandfather and great-grandfather.
Charles is predeceased by his wife, Gladys Hintzen (2009) and three brothers, Emil, Joseph and Edward Hintzen and is the devoted father of Charles J. Hintzen, IV and his wife, Holly of Wantage Twp., NJ, Charlene Messina and her husband, Sam of Bloomingdale, NJ, Bruce E. Hintzen and his wife, Ellen of Huntersville, NC, Wayne Hintzen and his wife, Jamie of Hardyston Twp., NJ, Brian Hintzen of Paterson, NJ, Gary Hintzen and his wife, Yvonne, of Franklin, NJ and Gladys Glesias and her husband, Robert of Newton, NJ. Cherished by sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., NJ.
