Frank PONTE Obituary
Frank Angelo, 92 of Cedar Grove, passed away on February 12, 2017. Beloved husband of Anne (Mancusi) Ponte. Loving father of Vincent M. Ponte & his wife Francine and Margaret (daughter) McMahon & her husband Michael. Grandfather of Frank V. Ponte & his wife Julie, Joseph M. Ponte & his partner Vanessa Liggeri, Michael A. Ponte, Meghan A. Bing & her husband Brian and Matthew M. McMahon. Great grandfather to Vincent J. Ponte, Sofia R. Ponte, Vincent F. Ponte and Charlotte A. Bing. Brother of Angelo Ponte, Joseph Ponte, Anthony Ponte and the late Mary Corino, Josephine Feraudo & Domenica Sebastiano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Clifton in 1965 before moving to Cedar Grove where he resided for the past 30 years. Mr. Ponte rose from a poor childhood to become an entrepreneur and owner of a large paper recycling company. He will mainly be remembered for being a loving husband, wonderful Father, doting Grandfather, endearing Great-Grand-father and caring uncle. He frequently and quietly helped countless people with their needs in life and we are certain that he will always be remembered as someone who could be counted on. He was a generous and loving family man who will be greatly missed.
Visiting on Wednesday at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM. Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton (www.bgcclifton.org) www.marroccos.com
