REPETTO - John J. "Jack" ,79, of HoHoKus, NJ died January 24, 2004. Before moving to HoHoKus in 1999, Jack was a resident of the Village of Ridgewood where he raised his family. He graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1942 and was a member of the track team. He had been accepted to attend the University of Notre Dame but enlisted instead in the Army Air Corps where he served in the 464th Fighter Squadron. He coached each of his five children, and hundreds of others, in the Ridgewood baseball and softball programs. As his children grew he became an ardent spectator of whatever sport they played. He acted in the Somerville School Dad's Night Productions for 17 years and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, Ridgewood, where he served as an usher. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus. He was an Executive Vice President of the L.P. Marron Company and Marron Enterprises. He served as a Director at Ridgewood Savings Bank of New Jersey and Boiling Springs Savings Bank. He was a sales associate with Gilsenan and Company. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Kolb) of HoHoKus. Loving father and father-in-law of David and Michele, Upper Saddle River; Michael and Karen, Wyckoff; Nancy and Jim Addis, Glen Ridge; Kate and Ron Erskine, Ridgewood and Peg and Ed Chanod, Ridgewood. Dear grandfather of Matthew, Nicholas, Peter, Erica, Morgan, Christopher John, Timber, Kolby, Emma and Edward. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Ridgewood. Friends may call Tuesday, January 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood. Entombment Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 in his memory would be appreciated.
