A feat that had not been repeated since he, himself, was part of the team in 1949 and 1950 under the legendary Jim Canty. In 1987, he was picked as Coach of the Year for small schools in Connecticut. In later years Jim's greatest joy were his grandchildren. Being, "Papou" was the most important position he ever held. He always had a story to share about his grandkids. So sorry for your loss mrs. Naum and family. He was a great man and will never be forgotten. As teachers you both were stern and strong, but you both had the soft side too. I admire both of you. You both did a lot of good for our school, our town, and of course the students. Each and everyone of them. In the classroom and on the field. I always looked forward to going to class. He was a genuine man who you don't find many of anymore. You are a very lucky lady to have found him and married him. Your marriage was real, true to the heart, and a very happy one too. My parents marriage is the same but my dad is in heaven with him and they'll entertain each other and also Mr. Naum and Micheal will be watching over the family still here and he's with his mother and brother too. You are an awesome and memorable man Mr. Naum and one that will never be forgotten. Rest in peace. ??. Your an angel in heaven to watch over your loved ones. ?? You need anything Mrs. Naum feel free to call anytime. I'm here for you and your family. You have helped me in so many ways and I would like to return the favor.

Jessica, the kids and I were so sadden to hear the news. Mr. Naum and Mrs. Naum were great neighbors to me and my family. He always had a good word to say and story to tell and was always good to my kids. I will always remember he used his snow blower to clear our driveway a few years back after a blizzard. What a great neighbor! Since he was my assistant principal in middle school he will always be "Mr. Naum" to me. RIP Mr. Naum, you were a special man.

Tom, Mrs. Naum,
My deepest sympathies. Coach Naum had an extraordinarily meaningful impact on my life; and on the lives of so many other young men, who benefitted in ways that stretched far beyond the gymnasium walls.
And now he, and the standards he inculcated, are a part of us.
I'm extremely grateful that I was able to re-connect with him a few short years ago.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.
