Aaro Joseph Salony March 15, 1954 - November 7, 2012 DANIELSON - Aaro (Butch) Salony, 58 of Danielson, CT passed away Thursday, November 7, 2012 after a long illness. Aaro was born in Putnam, CT on March 15, 1954; the son of Arthur and Barbara Salony of Brooklyn, CT. Butch graduated Killingly High School in 1972. He was an accomplished machinist working for various employers before his retirement. Butch had a big heart and was always involved in helping others. He had a passion for Harley Davidsons, and anything to do with horsepower, whether it be motorized or four legged. He also enjoyed being with family and friends. He had a love for music. He played the accordion, loved to sing and participated in many local karaoke competitions. Butch is survived by his wife Eileen (Meagher) Salony. The eldest of five siblings he is survived by his sisters and their spouses, Karen and Earl Latterell, Gail and Steve Mancini, Kathy and Donald McClure and a brother Peter J. Salony and Jill. In addition Butch leaves behind his daughters, Angela Wheeler and husband Chris, Kayla Salony and Dylan, and sons, Alex Salony and Kyle Salony. Butch adored his grandchildren, Tabitha Braxton, Kaylie and Jaden Wheeler; stepchildren, Joshua McCollom, Jessica Perkins, Crystal Hummel and step grandchildren, Trevor Perkins, Charlie McCollom, Brett Perkins and Samantha Meagher. He is also survived by a very special Aunt, Lynn Skaradowski Rulli and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 5:00 P.M. A reception will follow at the V.F.W., Mechanic Street, Danielson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
