Ann Irene Frechette-Bergman Jul. 8, 1949 - Aug. 22, 2014 PLAINFIELD - Ann Irene Frechette-Bergman, 65, of Connecticut Drive passed away Friday August 22, 2014 in the care of Hospice at Day Kimball Hospital. She was born July 8, 1949 in Putnam daughter to the late Luis and Flora (Emond) Frechette. Ann was proud that she served her community as the first women police officer
on Block Island. She also worked for eighteen years at Imperial Wall Covering. She loved hummingbirds, NASCAR and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a son Chris Bergman and his wife Kim, and daughters Joyce Fortin and her husband Joe, Heidi Mlyniec, stepson Ed Bergman, III and his wife Cindy, brothers Tim, Tom, and David, sisters Terri, Rachel, and Joyce, grandchildren Jeremiah and his partner Diane, Jared and his wife Vera, Jacob, Amanda, Jennifer, Alexandria, Kyle and Courtney, and great grandchildren Damon, Zachary and Lillian.Besides her parents she was predeceased by her twin sister Marie Alice and brother Luis, Jr. There will be a Funeral Mass held at St. Augustine's Church in Canterbury on Saturday August 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. There are no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
