Benjamin J. Iacovelli May 24, 1990 - May 4, 2013 Columbia - Benjamin J. Iacovelli of Columbia, died in a motorcycle accident Saturday, May 4th. He was 22 years old, born May 24, 1990. Ben was a graduate of Lincoln Technical School in HVAC and was an extremely skilled mechanic and builder, putting his heart into all he did. Ben loved his family and was a great friend. He never failed to greet people with his beautiful smile and warm embrace. He lived life to the fullest. He loved to laugh and joke. He enjoyed everything that involved cars, motorcycles and four-wheeling, and he loved being outdoors, kayaking and even swimming with dolphins in the wild. He lived his life a free spirit and died that way. He is leaving behind his mother, Theresa Iacovelli of Bridgeport, his father Leon Bergeron of Plainfield, his grandmother Patricia Iacovelli of West Virginia, his brother Cameron Lee Iacovelli of Maine, his uncle and aunt James and Julie Iacovelli of West Virginia, sister Andrea Holbrook and brother-in-law Justin Holbrook of Columbia. He also leaves behind the extended Holbrook family: grandparents Gloria and Ted, aunts and uncles Dan and Brenda Holbrook, Nancy Holbrook, Bob and Jill Grant and Joyce Fox. He also leaves behind beloved cousins Zachery Holbrook, Marilyn and Janis Iacovelli, Ashley and Robin Fernandez, Mathew and Christopher Grant, Jeff, Mayra and Andy Fox, beloved nieces Mallory Iacovelli and Lauren Holbrook, and beloved nephew Luke Holbrook. He also leaves behind loving girlfriend Sidney Pagnano, his California family, and many friends who loved him. He will be missed more than he could have imagined. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 5:30 P.M. at the Columbia Congregational Church, Route 87, Columbia, CT. There are no calling hours.
