Dilia C. Soto Kinne

Dilia C. Soto Kinne Died - June 25, 2013 Canterbury - Dilia C. Soto Kinne, 40, formerly of Lisbon Road, Canterbury died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Guatemala, she was the daughter of Inocente and Maria (Luz) Soto. Dilia was married to Curtis C. Kinne on March 17, 2001 at the family's home in Canterbury. She was a hard-working and determined young woman. She held various positions in the hotel and restaurant industry, had been employed by Villa Maria in Plainfield, and most recently at Tribe Mediterranean Foods in Taunton MA. Dilia enjoyed golfing with her husband, working out, growing a variety of flowers and vegetables, and preparing traditional foods from her Mayan heritage. A member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Providence, she was faithfully ministered to by Pastor Ruben Dario Baez. In addition to her husband and parents, Dilia is survived by a son Gerson Figueroa-Soto, two daughters Cynthia Figueroa-Soto and Gasmine Soto. Three brothers Selvin, Nixon, and Jimmy Soto, and three sisters Ingrid, Geidy, and Zaira Soto. Funeral services were held at the J.F. Skeffington Chapel in Providence. Burial was in the city's North Burial Ground Cemetery. Donations in Dilia's memory may be made to Hospice of NE CT, PO Box 632, Putnam CT 06260 J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home, Providence RI was in charge of arrangements.
