Dolores P. Lewitz

Dolores P. Lewitz August 20, 1941 - March 17, 2013 Norwich - Dolores P. Lewitz wife of John Lewitz Sr. peacefully passed away after a courages battle with cancer surrounded by her family. Dolores was born in Willimantic, August 20,1941. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Simone (Vallee) Ereshena. Dolores graduated from Windham High School in 1959. Dolores was a former Manager of the Norwich Electrolux where she won a Cadillac for high sales in her district. Her true passion was in the food industry, owning and operating Ann's Coffee Shop in Norwich for many years, Manager of food and beverage at foxwoods and for the last 23 years managing Modesto's restaurant in Franklin. Dolores also owned and operated with her husband of 50 years John Lewitz Sr. the Lewitz Farm Vegetable Stand and Antique Shop in Bozrah. Dolores was very artistic, making handmade holiday cards for special friends and family. She also made handcrafted dolls for our family and also sold them throughout New England. Dolores is survived by her husband John Lewitz Sr of Norwich; her son John Lewitz Jr. of Bozrah, granddaughter Brittany Lewitz of Norwich; daughter Trish Lewitz of Bozrah; brother S. Michael Ereshena of FL.; Aunt Wander Ereshena of Chaplin; cousins Laurie Ereshena and Cindy Hodis of Chaplin, Neic-e Buckell of FL., Jonie Gatto of SC.; niece Jennifer Lobasz of Wallingford; nephew Michael Ereshena of Bridgeport; her very closest best friend Terry Tongras of Bozrah and Very best friends and boss Modesto and Aricelda Moran of Norwich. Her pets Baily and Baby. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Parish at 70 Central Ave in Norwich, on Saturday March 23 at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dolores's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, and Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut.
