Joseph N. King June 1, 1933 - October 9, 2012 Gales Ferry - Joseph N. King, 79, husband of the late Lorraine (Dumas) King, of Woodland Lane, Gales Ferry, died Tuesday at Orchard Grove in Uncasville. Born in Norwich, on June 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Louise (Ruszenas) King. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy having served five years during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a psychiatric aide at the former Norwich Hospital. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth E. King of Norwich, John L. Nickolenko of Norwich, and David W. Nickolenko of Groton Long Point. One brother Louis Venturi and one sister Elizabeth Wyble both of Fallon, NV. Five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will take place on Wednesday, October 17 at 1 P.M. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Boswell Ave., Norwich, meeting at the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
