Lydia L. Prince(1919 - 2014)

Lydia L. Prince Mar. 26, 1919 - Apr. 14, 2014 PLAINFIELD - Lydia L. Prince, 95, of Pickett Rd. passed away Monday morning at Colonial Health and Rehab. She was born March 26, 1919 in Plainfield a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Morin) Bissonnette and lived in Moosup for many years. She had been employed by Majestic Metals, Kaman Aerospace and Stanley Home Dealer. Mrs. Prince was a communicant of All Hallows Church, a past Regent with Daughters of Isabella, past president of the Ladies of St. Anne and also taught CCD. On June 25, 1936 she was united in marriage to Elzear V. Prince who died October 13, 1984. Mrs. Prince was a life member of the Plainfield Senior Citizens and a member of the Brooklyn Senior Citizens. She leaves a daughter Lucille Simonds of Plainfield; a son Robert Prince of Mississippi; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Norman Prince; three brothers, Ernest, Morin and Norman Bissonnette; two sisters, Malvina St. Pierre and Theresa Hawes. The funeral will be held Thursday 10:00 A.M. from Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield followed by a Blessing at 10:30AM in All Hallows Church, Moosup. A visiting hour will be Thursday from 9-10 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial in All Hallows Cemetery.
