Paul J. Rouillard

Paul J. Rouillard March 2, 1944 - November 13, 2013 Plainfield - Paul J. Rouillard, 69, of Plainfield passed into restful peace on November 13, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Paul was born in Welland, Ontario on March 2, 1944 to Lucie Nicol and Israel Rouillard. Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Paul most recently worked for the Plainfield Board of Education in the maintenance department at Plainfield High Scholl. Prior to PHS, Paul was employed By Pervel Industries, a school bus driver in Plainfield and a driver for the Norwich Bulletin. Paul will be remembered for being a prankster and for his love of food; he would often sneak in a Big Mac or a chocolate ice cream cone as an afternoon snack! Paul was well known at several local restaurants and looked forward to his noon time lunch outings as well as coffee out in the morning with the crew at McDonald's. He loved spending time with his dog (Sweet Pea) and spending countless hours outdoors. Paul is survived by his wife Sheila, daughter and son in law Nicole and Keith Audet of Sterling, daughter and significant other Renee Rouillard and Craig Bein of Plainfield, granddaughter's Emily and Madeleine Mirante of Plainfield. Brother and sister in law Andre and Carol Rouillard of Moosup. Paul is also survived by a son James Rouillard, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, have a beer in Paul's memory, because that's exactly what he would have wanted! A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday (November 18, 2013) at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Apostle Church, Plainfield. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. Dougherty Bros.
