Paul "Snurk" Snurkowski Nov. 6, 1959 - May 14, 2014 JEWETT CITY - Paul "Snurk" Snurkowski, 54, of Jewett City, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born in Norwich on November 6, 1959 to Barbara (Haberek) and Robert Snurkowski. He graduated from NFA in 1977 and worked at Wyman Gordon Corp. as a supervisor and at Foxwoods for many years as a kitchen mechanic and locksmith. Paul was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp in Houlton Maine with his best friends and family. He also loved to fish, golf and bowl. He rolled a 300 game at the Norwich Ten Pin that earned him his "perfect game" ring. He is predeceased by his father Robert and stepfather Chester Gacioch "Hoss". In addition to his mother Barbara, he leaves his daughter Sarah Collelo and her husband Kurt, his grandsons Bryce Christian and Frank Allen "his little big men" of Canterbury, his sister Deborah Carver, her husband Roger and his nephews Joshua Stephen and Sean Paul Gilot of Norwich (he was their Uncle P) as well as aunts, an uncle, several cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave. in Norwich at 12 noon. Calling hours will be held two hours prior from 10 A.M. to 12 noon.
