Thomas T. Bohara

Thomas T. Bohara May 24, 1925 - November 17, 2012 Norwich - Thomas T. Bohara, 87, husband of Lorraine "Blondie" (Peltier) Bohara of 80 Sandy Ln., Norwich, died Saturday at Norwichtown Rehabilitation Center. Born in Norwich on May 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Seymour and Nellie (Patys) Bohara, Sr. Tom was educated in the Norwich school system. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W., and the Rose City Senior Center. He was well known in the area as an avid duck pin bowler, and later as a pool player. Tom was a member of the Eastern Connecticut Board of Umpires having been involved in umpiring in the area for the last 65 years. Following his retirement as a currier driver for the Superintendent of Shipbuilders in Groton, he worked as a school crossing guard in Norwich, and also for Utley & Jones Pharmacy in Norwich. On July 5, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, he was united in marriage to Lorraine "Blondie" (Peltier) Bohara. Surviving along with his wife are two sons, Thomas S. Bohara, and Theodore F. Bohara, Sr., and his wife Debra, all of Norwich. Four grandchildren, Vicki, Yvette, Theodore Jr., and Tiffany. Six great grandchildren, Codi, Stephanie, Franchesca, Jaxon, Brittany and Jared. One brother Roger Bohara, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Seymour Bohara, Jr. Visitation 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 9 A.M. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich, meeting directly at the Church. Interment to follow with Military Honors in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those who prefer may make donations in his memory to the .
