Henry James Lebejko

Henry James Lebejko Died - April 7, 2012 Stonington - Henry James Lebejko, 71, passed away April 7, 2012 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Henry was predeceased by his father Henry G. Lebejko. He is survived by his mother, P. Barbara (Kramarewicz) Lebejko and his sister, Bernadette M. Lebejko, both of Norwich as well as his companion, Averell T. Houghton, with whom he shared a love of gardening, nature and their yellow lab, Abbey. Henry will also be missed by David and Phoebe Houghton and their children Alexandra and William Houghton and Nicholas and Susan Houghton and their daughter, Holland, who loved her grandpa. In addition, he is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends. Henry was born in Norwich and graduated from N.F.A., class of 1958 and the University of Miami in 1962 with a BBA. He served in the US Navy and then lived many years on the West Coast working for Union Carbide and The University of California Medical School. He returned to Connecticut in 1990 and worked at Man Roland, Fisher Control in North Stonington and upon retirement, worked part time at Pleasant Acres in Westerly. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 15, from 4-6 P.M. in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, April 16, at 10 A.M. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will follow in Stonington Cemetery, Stonington.
