David Joseph Lawless, Sr. January 14, 1936 - May 10, 2013 Sarasota, FL - David Joseph Lawless, Sr, 77, formerly a resident of Norwich, passed away in Sarasota, FL on May 10, 2013 David was born in Norwich on January 14, 1936. He attended Norwich Free Academy. He served in the US Marine Corp active duty 1956 to 1959. David married Donna (Clifford) on January 4, 1960 at SS Peter & Paul Church, Norwich; they were married 53 years. During his lifetime, David worked at The Thermos Corporation, The Atlantic Carton Corporation both of Norwich and for General Dynamics/Electric Boat, Groton. David is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Linda M. Kaminski (husband John); David J. Lawless, Jr., Dennis M. Lawless, Kathleen A. Lawless. His grandchildren; Victoria and Matthew Rolfe ,Nicholas and Nathan Lawless . He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Lawless and James Lawless, along with several nieces & nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents; John and Josephine (Donohue) Lawless, and brothers; John P. Lawless and Richard M. Lawless. His daughter, Colleen F. Lawless passed away June 2013. A Memorial Service will be held September 21st at 10:00 A.M. at SS Peter and Paul Church in Norwich, CT. Cremation services were handled by Alan Moore Funeral Home, Ellenton, FL.
