Edgar C. St. Jean

Edgar C. St. Jean December 12, 1935 - May 19, 2013 Plainfield - Edgar C. St. Jean, 77, of Tarbox Rd. beloved husband of Marilyn (Marion) St. Jean passed away Sunday afternoon at W.W. Backus Hospital, Norwich. He was born December 12, 1935 in Plainfield a son of the late Theodore and Valada (Lacourse) St. Jean and was a lifelong resident. Mr. St. Jean was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was employed at Electric Boat for 25 years, owned Ed's Corner in Jewett City for 20 years, worked for the Griswold School System for seven years and currently owned Ed's Lock & Key. Besides his wife he leaves a son Douglas C. St. Jean of Plainfield; two daughters Debra L. Bray of Bloomfield and Judith Petrunti of East Granby; a granddaughter Angela Petrunti ; two sisters Irene Hutchinson and Anna Ferria both of Plainfield; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Theodore and Roland St. Jean, a sister Dora Ouimette and a son in law Paul Bray. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in St. John the Apostle Church, Plainfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA. 01701 or to the American Lung Assoc. 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT. 06108-3272.
