Edward Pingalore Obituary

Edward E. Pingalore October 9, 1928 - March 17, 2013 BOZRAH - Edward E. Pingalore, 84, of Fitchville Rd, died peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the William W. Backus Hospital. On October 9, 1928 he was born in Stonington, Connecticut the son of Louis and Helen (Holland) Pingalore. Edward was a graduate of the Norwich Free Academy class of 1947 and was a veteran of the Korean War having served as a sergeant with the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. After the war he returned to Connecticut and began working at Electric Boat. He worked in Groton for several years and worked in Seattle, Washington and finally in Georgia until his retirement. He lived in Florida for many years before returning to Connecticut in 2004 to be closer to his family. He is survived by three sisters, Shirley L. Woodka and husband Henry of Franklin, Mary Houston of Cranston, RI and Beverly Faucher and husband Ron of Inverness, FL; a brother John "Jack" Pingalore and wife Anita of Elkhart, IN; and several nieces and nephews. The Woyasz & Son Funeral Home is in charge of private arrangements.
