Thoephania A. Soulas

Thoephania A. Soulas June 15, 1928 - September 4, 2013 Mystic - Thoephania A. Soulas, 85, of 182 Flanders Rd., Mystic who resided with her granddaughter Heather Delaporta and her husband Scott along with their three children Tyler, Alyssa and Jayden died early Wednesday morning at the Backus Hospital. She was born in Norwich on June 15, 1928 the daughter of the late Louis A. and Yvonne (Lavallee) Pappas. Theo dedicated herself as a homemaker for her family. She was an avid gardener and loved to read and cook. On January 11, 1948 she married Richard Soulas who died on July 1, 2008. She is survived by one son, Richard T. Soulas of Bozrah; one brother, Thomas Pappas of Norwich; two sisters, Rita Gray of Virginia and Diana Tennant of Norwich; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Lola. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Forrest and her sister, Barbara Rizzuto. Calling hours at the Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South B. St., Taftville will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., 1-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
