Aaron P. Carignan September 16, 1961 - June 4, 2013 CENTRAL VILLAGE - Aaron P. Carignan, 51, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, following a six-year courageous battle with cancer. Aaron left this world in the embrace of his beautiful wife, daughter, son, parents, siblings and friends. He is the son of Andre and Ann (Allard) Carignan of Plainfield. Aaron is survived by the love of his life, Cynthia (Lukin) Carignan whom he wed on December 28, 1990. He is survived by his daughter, Callie Carignan, son and daughter in- law, Jamie and Melina Dumas, and their son, Kyle. Besides his wife and children, he leaves his brother, Alan and Sandy Carignan of Central Village; sister, Andrea and George Church of Moosup, CT; sister, Amanda and William Marchessault of Central Village, CT; his nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Aaron graduated from Plainfield High School. He was employed as a Class A Mechanic at Frito Lay in Dayville, CT for twenty two years; he was also previously employed at Kaman Aerospace for several years. Aaron resided in Central Village all his life. He was most noted for his infectious smile, his love of cars, and his witty comments. His strength and love of life was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be missed by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 A.M. in All Hallows Church, Moosup. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Sunday 3-7PM at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Hospice of N.E. CT, P.O. 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
