Anne Baker May 15, 1915 - Feb. 28, 2014 BROOKLYN - Anne Baker was born on May 15, 1915 in Manchaug, MA to Dirk Baker and Alice Van Zanten. Anne graduated from Plainfield High School and Fairchild Office School. She was employed by Rockwood Sprinkler Company in Worcester for three years and with the Internal Revenue Service in Hartford for the next 30 years. After retiring from the IRS she worked as a Kelly Girl in Hartford for many years. Anne considered Moosup home taking the bus from Hartford to Moosup almost every weekend before moving back home to Moosup in retirement. She was a member of the Moosup United Methodist Church. Anne was one of 10 children and the last to pass away on February 28, 2014. She was predeceased by her five brothers; John, William, George, Iga, and Dick and four sisters; Grace Baker Tyler, Sadie Baker, Elizabeth Baker McCreery and Alice Baker Howard. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Central Village. Tillinghast Funeral Home, 25 Main Street, Central Village is in charge of arrangements.
