Claire L. Sonner

Claire L. Sonner Died - April 13, 2010 Plainfield - Claire L. Sonner of 19 Community Ave. passed away Tuesday evening at W.W. Backus Hospital in Norwich surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plainfield a daughter of the late Theodore A. and Pauline (Glebas) Tetreault. Claire was a 1954 graduate of Plainfield High School where she was active in sports and was homecoming queen. She graduated from the William W. Backus School of Nursing in 1957. She was a registered nurse for 48 years. Claire touched countless peoples lives. She married Robert H. Sonner in 1957; he died September 2, 1986. Claire leaves her five children; Ellen Riley and her husband Alan of VA, Beth Ann Khalil and her husband Tony of Faraya, Lebanon, Caroline Santiago and her husband Luis of Va., Robin Cronin and her husband Robert of MA., and William Sonner of CT. Claire also leaves her grandchildren, Katherine, Joel, Elizabeth, Christine, Robert, Christopher, Jacquelyn, Jonathan, Talia, Anna, Claire and Camile. She also leaves her brothers and sisters, Cecile Lemaire of CT., Lorraine Gosselin of CT, Alfred Tetreault of CT, Patricia Carpenter of CT, Bernard Tetreault of NC, Edwin Tetreault of TX, Paula Erickson of CT and many many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Apostle Church, Plainfield. Burial will be private.
