I went to NFA with David, recall fondly our mutual interests in science, math, and just messing around with stuff, to see what would happen! Dave had many hobbies and interests, and I can't of too many things in the world that he didn't find fascinating. An inquisitive open mind is a rare thing to find. I'm pretty sure, he never lost that sense of "wonder" at the world.

What once seemed an old age (back in HS) now seems a tragically young age to have lost him at.

I am very sad to hear of David's passing. We started a good friendship together over the past year. He was a great help with Ham things and the traffic nets on the radio. We were also going to start a postal chess game over the radio.
With deepest sympathy, Bob Holland N1SYC

David was a great operator, teacher and leader in amateur radio. We were so shocked to hear of his passing. He will be greatly missed by all his amateur radio friends, especially those net participants in Eastern Mass. Our condolences to all his family. Marcia Forde KW1U, Section Traffic Manager Eastern Mass.

Dave was my best friend when I grew up in Norwich. We did Boy Scouts , Computer Processing Institute and worked together at Proteon. I will miss him greatly. He taught me much about astronomy and science. We hung out at Adams Tavern back in the day. We rode bikes and when we were younger we caused the usual trouble for our parents.
