Donald Earle Pike February 15, 1926 - March 8, 2013 Seattle, WA - WW II Veteran Donald Earle Pike, 87, died quietly at home on March 8, 2013. He was born in Pomfret, Connecticut on February 15, 1926, the son of Floyd and Eliza (Baker) Pike. He attended Putnam High School and proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. He worked in his father's lumber business and worked 25 years as a painter at the University of Washington in Seattle until his retirement. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia Schlehofer Perkins of Pomfret; former wife, Marion (Ellsworth) Scott of Pomfret and cousin, Charles Pike of Hampton; his children: Deborah Simpson of Pomfret; Cynthia Piontak of Pittsboro, NC; Donald G. Pike of Pomfret; Kathleen Jones of Tacoma, WA and Judith (Spencer) Hart of Snohomish, WA plus 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Juanita (Todd) Spencer and his brother, Goodwin Floyd Pike. Services were held at the Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home in Seattle, WA on Saturday, March 16, 2013.
