PLAINFIELD - Edwin Henry "Eddie" Tetreault was born February 29, 1940 at home in Plainfield, CT, to Theodore and Pauline (Glebas) Tetreault. He graduated from Plainfield High school in 1957 and received his BS in Education from Central Connecticut State University. He attended Springfield College, where he received his Master's degree in Physical Education. While at Springfield, he met Katie Wallace, a PE major from Illinois. They married on November 23, 1963, in Plainfield. Eddie began teaching in Plainfield; in 1964, the couple moved to Wolfboro, NH. In 1967, the family moved to Milwaukee so that Eddie could get his commercial pilot's license. They returned to Plainfield and Eddie resumed his teaching career. They moved to Canterbury, CT. In 1976, Eddie quit teaching to become a masonry contractor. Eddie restored fireplaces in Colonial homes throughout New England and Long Island.
Eddie was a true Renaissance man. He was a talented singer, participating in church choirs, barbershop groups, and the Northfield Troubadors - and regaled listeners with his harmonica skills.
