Glenn E. Nicholson July 28, 1946 - May 21, 2013 Danielson - Glenn E Nicholson, age 66, of Danielson died unexpectedly Tuesday at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. He was the husband of Catherine (Fortin) Nicholson; they were married July 12, 1969. He was born in Providence, RI on July 28, 1946, son of the late Edward and Theresa (Gauthier) Nicholson. Glenn was a graduate of Tolman High School in Pawtucket, RI and received his Associates Degree from The University of Rhode Island. He was a Vietnam Era Air Force Veteran and was the owner/operator of Protech Computer Supply in Sterling for thirty years. He previously was a member of the Danielson Rotary Club, he was a communicant of St. James Church and a member of Quinnatisset Country Club. Besides his wife Catherine he is also survived by his sons, Kevin Nicholson of Danielson and Scott Nicholson and wife Melissa of Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren Sienna and Chelsea Nicholson and predeceased by daughter Heidi. He is also survived by sisters Susan Klink and husband Bob of Pawtucket, RI, Christine McCabe and husband Frank of Seekonk, MA; Lynn Duquette and husband Kenny of Rehoboth, MA, Terry Frost of Danielson. Brothers Wayne Nicholson and wife Pam of Scituate, RI, and Brian Nicholson of Pawtucket, RI. Mother-in-law Ella Fortin of Danielson. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue Crowley and husband Dave, JoAnn Martunas and husband John, Judy LaRoche and husband Bob, Mike Fortin and wife Rhonda, Jeff Fortin and wife Jo-Ann and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in St. James Church, Danielson. Burial with Full Military Honors will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. In lieu of flowers donations in Glenn's memory may be made to St. James School, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT 06239. Glenn gave the gift of life through tissue donation. Beside his loving family Glenn had many close friends with whom he shared many special moments and experiences. He touched many people with his kindness, generosity, quick wit, and affection. He had a love of travel, food, and fine wine. He also had a unique love/hate relationship with golf. He had a great love for all his family members and the time that he spent with them, and enjoyed nothing more then spending time at his second home in Las Vegas with his two grandchildren Sienna and Chelsea. He will be greatly missed by everyone that had the privilege of his love and friendship.
