James M. Morrissette Obituary
James M. Morrissette February 14, 1950 - August 30, 2012 Danielson - James M. Morrissette, age 62, of Danielson, died unexpectedly Thursday at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. He was born in Putnam on February 14, 1950, son of the late Leandre and Theresa (Fournier) Morrissette. He was married to Deborah L. Jaworski on September 11, 1971. Mr. Morrissette graduated from All Hallows School in Moosup and was a 1969 Ellis Tech graduate. He was active in Boy Scouting in his youth; achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Era Veteran. Mr. Morrissette worked for twenty years for American Standard in Central Village and was active with the union and a Fifth Grievance Member. He was currently employed at Frito-Lay in Dayville. He was a communicant of St. James Church and was an antique and muscle car enthusiast. He enjoyed doing projects around his home, loved cooking, especially baking and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife Deborah he is survived by his son Matthew L. Morrissette and wife Margaret of Danielson; two sisters, Diane Ethier and husband Jerry of Pomfret and Janice O'Brien and husband Tom of Central Village; three granddaughters, Alexandria, Charlotte and Julianna and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. in St. James Church, Danielson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-8 P.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the of CT, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108
