John Richard Castagna, Jr. November 30, 1969 - April 2, 2013 Milliken, CO - John Richard Castagna, Jr., 43, of Milliken, CO died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Born in New London, CT on November 30, 1969, he is survived by his wife Robin, his two children; his loving father John Castagna of Groton; his adoring mother Camellia Fogg and her husband Don of Norwich, his younger brother Aaron Castagna and his wife Terrie of Sterling, his grandmother Arlene Gray of Ledyard, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. John grew up in Ledyard where he loved to go fishing and camping with his dad. At 12, he bought his first motorcycle, thus beginning a lifelong passion for power sports. In his early 20s, John embarked on his journey, where he made a home in Colorado. He married the love of his life, Robin, and they became the parents of two wonderful children. A master machinist, he started his own successful business, High Gear Machining, servicing businesses throughout the Front Range. John was a devoted father and husband. All those who met John were truly blessed to have known him. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for life that not many ever attain. He loved Colorado, and one of his greatest joys was sharing his sense of freedom and adventure with others, and embracing the beauty of the West. John will be deeply missed. Services will be private.
