Kristina G Quarto June 9, 1982 - November 24, 2012 Norwich - Kristina Gail Quarto, beloved daughter, sister and auntie, passed away on November 24. Born on June 9, 1982, Kristy grew up in Norwich, attending Norwich Public Schools and NFA. in her high school years, she enjoyed performing in musicals and won numerous art awards. She was also an accomplished pianist and substituted at St. Mark services in her college years. She attended Maryland Institute and the University of Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She loved music, dancing and writing songs and poetry. In recent years Kristy volunteered at Fiddleheads, St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, the Broad St. Community Garden and art galleries. She cherished time with her family and enjoyed traveling. She was thoughtful, kind and generous of heart and a blessing to her family and friends. She cared deeply about the environment, disdained consumerism and tried to live a simple life. Her incredible courage, hope and determination were an inspiration to her family and friends. Kristy was smart, talented and kind. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved her family deeply and taught them immeasurable lessons about love, hope and what truly matters. Kristina will be forever missed by her parents, Jim and Sandy, her brother Jimmy and sister in law Allison, her precious niece Quinn, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been established in Kristy's name; donations can be made to NFA Foundation Inc., 321 Broadway, Norwich. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., December 1, at 11 A.M. at St Mark Lutheran Church on Broadway in Norwich. Arrangements by Labenski Funeral Home.
