Celebration of Life, Mark H. Johnston August 3, 1958 - June 14, 2012 Oakdale - The family of Mark H. Johnston invites his friends and co-workers to a Celebration of His Life at Byles Funeral Home, 310 Thames St., Groton, on Wednesday, July 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Mark, 53, of Oakdale passed on to the Lord on June 14, 2012. Born August 3, 1958, in Lockport, NY he was the son of Rita A. Johnston and the late Calvin H. Johnston of Odessa, FL. He was a Principal Engineer in non-metallic materials at Electric Boat for 27 years. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bernard's RC Church in Youngstown, NY, with Rev. Monsignor Thomas Moran, a classmate of Mark's mother officiating. Interment was next to his father in North Ridge Cemetery in Cambria, NY.
