Obituary Condolences

Paul Glaude August 12, 1953 - August 16, 2013 Woodstock - Paul Glaude aka Twink or Paul A. died peacefully on Friday August 16, 2013 at his home on Quasset Lake surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Norwich on August 12, 1953 the son of the late Adelard and Cecile (Patenaude) Glaude. After graduating from Norwich Free Academy, Paul went to work at Federal Paper Board in Versailles and remained employed at the plant currently known as Fusion Paper Board till the time of his death. Paul's love of anything auto racing began as a youngster watching his cousin race at Waterford Speedbowl and continued throughout his life being an avid NASCAR fan and helping his son build racecars and racing them at Thompson Speedway on Thursday nights. Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years Janet, as well as his son Jason Glaude and his daughter Erica Michalski and son-in-law Shane, and grandchildren Alina and Everett Michalski. He is also survived by his brothers, Ron and wife Carol of Lady Lake, Fl, James and wife June of Woodstock, Armand and wife Claire of Baltic and David and wife Ann of Norwich. He was predeceased by his brother Denis. He leaves his nieces and nephews who he truly enjoyed. He is also survived by Laurie Bendas Glaude and faithful dog Quincy. Twink also leaves his friends, old and new who gathered around him and enveloped him love and helped him go peacefully on his way. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday August 23rd at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church in Occum meeting directly at church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paul's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeast CT, 320 Pomfret St., Putnam, CT 06260.
