Robert M. Langevin February 21, 1950 - March 15, 2013 Brooklyn - Robert M. Langevin, 63, of Brooklyn, passed away on Friday at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries he sustained on his beloved family farm. He was a wonderful husband and loving family man. He was the husband of Susan (St. John) Langevin; they were married September 7, 1973. Mr. Langevin was born in Putnam on February 21, 1950, son of Maurice Langevin of Brooklyn and the late Simonne (Bouthillier) Langevin. He worked for 26 years as a weight and safety inspector for the State of CT, retiring in 2009. He was a 1968 graduate from Killingly High School, where he was an exceptional athlete in football, basketball and baseball. He achieved his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Johnson & Wales University in 1972. Mr. Langevin was a communicant of St. James Church, an avid golfer and member of Quinnatisset Country Club, and the Danielson Lodge of Elks. He loved to travel and vacation with family and friends. Mr. Langevin was an accomplished outdoorsman. He was co-owner and partner of Allen Hill Tree Farm in Brooklyn. Besides his wife and his father he is survived by his children, Aimee Anderson and husband Erick, Benjamin Langevin and wife Rebecca, and Brett Langevin and wife Amanda; brother, Charles Langevin and wife Marion; sister, Carmen Gibeault and husband Roland, all of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Aidan, Ella, Evan, Abigail, Emelia and Teagan and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Church, Danielson, meeting directly at the church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Benjamin T. Desaulnier Memorial Scholarship Fund, 22 Deerwood Drive, Danielson, CT 06239 or to Saint James School, 120 Water Street, Danielson, CT 06239.
