Rose M. Tolokan July 27, 1915 - August 15, 2008 WILLIMANTIC -Rose M. (Kuzdal) Tolokan, 93, of Willimantic, wife of the late John P. Tolokan, passed away peacefully Friday, August 15, 2008 at Liberty Specialty Care Center in Colchester. Born July 27, 1915 in Willimantic, Rose was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Kuzdal. On July 27, 1936, Rose married John Tolokan and they were together in marriage for 61 years until John's death in 1997. Among the many pleasures enjoyed by Rose were her gardening, her quiet reading, and being a great mom. She is survived by her children, Patricia Tolokan of North Windham, Tim Tolokan and his wife Diane of Storrs, and Anthony (Toby) Tolokan and his wife Mary of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, John A. and Alek N. Tolokan of Indianapolis; two brothers, Rev. Anthony Kuzdal of West Hartford and Thomas Kuzdal of Coventry. Besides her parents and her husband, Rose was predeceased by a sister, Josephine, and a brother, Theodore. The Tolokan family wishes to express its sincere thanks for the long-standing exceptional care provided for Rose by the nurses and staff at Liberty Specialty Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT 06226. There will be no calling hours. Potter Funeral Home in Willimantic is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Rose may be made to the St. Joseph Church Renovation Fund, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT. 06226.
