Susan P. Sansom May 25, 1956 - May 5, 2011 Norwich - Susan Priest Sansom, 54, of Mountainview Drive died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich with her family by her side. She was born in Hartford on May 25, 1956 daughter of the late Llewellyn and Marion Bennett Priest. Susan worked as a registered nurse for the State of Connecticut in the Mental Health and Addiction Services Dept. Mrs. Sansom received her nursing degree from Excelsior College in Albany, NY. Susan was a bible student with the Agawam Bible Students. She also loved to cook, serve God, family and friends. On May 25, 1996 she was united in marriage to Frederick Sansom. Mr. Sansom survives his wife of fourteen years. Susan is also survived by her son Aaron McCoy of Norwich, her siblings Llewellyn Priest Jr. of East Hartford, Dawn Priest Jacques of South Windsor, and Mark J. Priest of Wethersfield. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Cummings - Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff St. Norwich, CT. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, 10 A.M. at the funeral home.
