Hal Lester Miller May 19, 1935 - Mar. 11, 2014 TAFTVILLE - Hal Lester Miller, 78, went home to the Lord on Tuesday while at Bridebrook Rehab. and Healthcare in E. Lyme, CT. He was born in West Virginia on May 19, 1935 and worked at Electric Boat, Groton, CT until his retirement. He was married to Barbara (Dean) Miller who survives him. He served in the US Army until his Honorable Discharge. During that time he actually served with Elvis. Lester, as he was also sometimes called, was a man of the bible, reading it daily and living its message. He enjoyed playing the guitar, helping people and going to yard sales prior to becoming ill. He is survived by his wife, one son, four daughters, one brother; Lloyd Auxier Sr., 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter and four brothers. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 21st at 10 A.M. at the Quinebaug Valley Alliance Church, 567 S. Canterbury Rd., Canterbury, CT 06331. Military Honors will be rendered at the church following the service. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
