Annette P. Sakellarides Dec. 24, 1922 - Mar. 22, 2014 NORWICH - Annette ("Netta") Perrone Sakellarides of Norwich, Connecticut, age 91, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2014. Netta was born on December 24, 1922 in Norwich to the late Rosario and Maria Perrone and was a graduate of the Norwich Free Academy in 1941. On December 9, 1960, she married George Sakellarides, who predeceased her in 2009. She is survived by her only child, her daughter, Meg Sakellarides Mokoski, whom she adored, and her husband, Scott, of East Haddam and his children, Kevin Mokoski and Sara Mokoski of Tolland, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Angelo Perrone of Fitchville, and her sisters Rose Heran of Saratoga, California, Margaret Wodopian of Norwich, and Nicoletta Thomas of Milford. Beyond her family and extended family, she had many lifelong friends, whom she cherished. Netta was an avid reader, writer, and a daily crossword and jumble puzzle fanatic. She loved music and enjoyed cooking. Even up until a few days before her passing, she could be found glued to either her iPad or to the television analyzing the daily stock market or some current news event with her "friends" on Fox News. She retired after 25 years of employment with AT&T, formerly SNET, where she was a telephone operator and a life member of the AT&T Pioneers, a volunteer network. She was a communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Norwich. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Friday, March 28th at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Avenue, Norwich, Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 181 Elizabeth Street, Norwich meeting directly at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
