John Francis Zingrone, Jr. Oct. 14, 1952 - Apr. 20, 2014 Tarpon Springs, FL. - John Francis Zingrone, Jr. vaulted into the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2014. John was born in Trenton, NJ. on October 14, 1952, son of Madelyn Banovsky Brown of Uncasville and the late John F. Zingrone, Sr. John's step father, John Brown, predeceased him in 2012. He leaves his step mother, Gloria Zingrone of NJ. John was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sylvia Stevens, on May 16, 1992 in Woodstock. He served two years in the United States Navy with an honorable discharge. John leaves his "best friend" and brother, Charles Zingrone, Sr., his sister-in-law Marisol, and nephews Charles, Jr., his wife, Deanna, nephew Michael Zingrone and brother, Dr. Joseph Zingrone, sister-in-law, Dr. Denise Zingrone and nephew Joey and niece Grace, all of Hammonton, NJ. where he grew up. Additionally, he leaves a very special Aunt Marie Martino of Margate, NJ. with whom he and his brother, Charlie, spent summers for many years. John leaves his daughter, Laura Lee Moreno and his granddaughter, Marina Carbonaro of NJ. He leaves behind his wife, Sylvia's two children, Kim Jodoin and Jon Basilick, as well as his three grandchildren, which he considered and loved as his own. Jordan, Jesse and Ryan Jodoin, who belovedly always called him "Their Papa". John also leaves many Aunts and several cousins. A special adopted nephew, Mark Brennan, from CT. John was a friend of Bill W. for 23 years. He was an avid deer hunter. He went on many hunting trips to Kansas, he always used a musket loader rifle to hunt. Hunting was his great passion. John owned and operated a very successful business in northeastern CT He named his business "Just Painting, Inc". He owned and operated this business for 12 years until he succumbed to a serious injury that left him disabled. John was so proud of doing all the work for Keenan and Navarro Builders one of the most noted builders in northeastern CT. He always considered John Navarro his mentor. At the time of his death, he resided with his wife, Sylvia at 705 Lighthouse Drive, Tarpon Springs, FL. 34689 for the past ten years. There will be a Celebration of his life and a Memorial Mass on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. at Dobies Funeral Home, 4910 Bartelt Road, Holiday, FL. 34690. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Being Christ Church, 4826 Barteit Road, Holiday, FL. 34690 or Moffitt Cancer Center, Melanoma Dept., 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL. 33612.
