Gilbert M. Dailey March 7, 1929 - June 1, 2011 Brooklyn - Gilbert M. Dailey, 82, of 38-B Wauregan Rd. formerly of Moosup beloved husband of Betty (Devoe) Gilbert died early Wednesday morning at U-Mass Medical Center, Worcester. He was born March 7, 1929 in Moosup a son of the late James and Mary (James) Dailey. Mr. Dailey was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed at the former Pervel Industries for 50 years, retiring recently. In his youth Mr. Dailey played minor league baseball with the Boston Braves organization. He also served as a coach for the former Moosup Boys Club. He was a devoted husband and father. On July 31, 1954 he married Betty DeVoe and was married for 56 years. Besides his wife he leaves a son and daughter in law Brian and Sandy Dailey of Plainfield; a daughter and son in law Bonnie and Michael Mooney of Brooklyn. He was predeceased by four brothers, John, Thomas, James and Robert Dailey; two sisters Margaret Bonner and Barbara Hanaeur. Funeral and Burial are private.
